1. Where do I approve training requests now?
The process of approving training requests is available in Learning Management System (SumTotal).
2. As a line manager, when I allocate TCs for my team, I do not see the list of domain / technology related competencies OR this list does not include the ones I want to use.
The iLearn uses data from PS(H). All employees for whom you are shown as supervisor in PS(H) will be seen as your team members in the iLearn. The data gets refreshed each night. If you need changes to the PS(H) supervisor data, please get this corrected through your HR SPOC.
3. I can login but cannot see the entire list of my team members.
You can see only those team members for whom you are the direct supervisor in PS(H). If an employee’s supervisor has to be changed, please contact HR.
4. Can I select multiple roles / job functions for my team member?
At times employees may be performing multiple roles due to short term adjustments in project work or due to resource limitations. The role based learning system is a tool for the employee to develop in the designated primary role. Hence even if a person is performing 2-3 roles concurrently, only one of these will be his/her primary role. As such, the system allows manager to select only one primary role and one job function.
5. Project technology information is already available in PS(H). Why is it mapped in training systems again?
In PS(H) only one technology can be mapped to project. This happens at the time of project creation. In real scenario, a project may be working on various technologies and hence the need to capture the same.
6. Can I directly add trainings for my employee?
No. Right now this facility is not available in the iLearn. The idea is to inculcate a culture of getting trained in the Areas that are MOST relevant to the employee’s work. So the linkage is through the role-competency-training route.
